This three-day course is designed for students with prior dental assisting experience. Upon completion, students earn a Coronal Polishing certificate, which is required by the California Dental Board for unlicensed Dental Assistants, those seeking to become RDAs, and for performing coronal polishing on patients in a dental office.
*VSDA Supplies all materials for this course.
*Students must use their own patients.
First Day
Lecture followed by hands-on mannequin practice. Students will schedule their homework and final patient appointments at our facility.
Second Day
This day is designated as Homework Patient Day, during which students will bring in two patients to perform Coronal Polishing procedures.
Final Day
Students will be given a written exam and perform a coronal polishing procedure on their patient. Upon successful completion, students will receive their Coronal Polish Certification.
